Man With Scissors Cuts Tags From Mattresses
Natick, Massachusetts - In a brazen, daylight attack, a man armed with a pair of scissors entered a well-known furniture chain and began to cut tags off mattresses in the showroom. Customers were horrified as the tags were severed at the point of attachment and left to flutter to the floor.
Stephen
Waltman, one of many horrified shoppers, commented on the attack:
"I was here to pick up a new bed and mattress. I'm coming up on my
third date with a new girlfriend and I thought it would be a nice
idea to have a firm platform, if you know what I mean. Anyway, this
guy comes in wearing a trenchcoat and sunglasses and whips out a pair of scissors. Everyone knows that the
mattress tags all say that it is illegal to cut or remove them, and
here this guy starts slicing and dicing. It was terrible. All these
tags all over the floor, and now the mattresses can't be sold. I'm
still shaken by the whole thing."
In a similar but unrelated incident, it was rumored that a woman in the same part of town was holding an aerosol can near an open flame. Law enforcement is currently investigating the claim.
