Windows: Configure a Printer for a Remote XP Workstation

It seems like we frequently receive support requests like "Help, I can't print to such and such a printer..."

Here's a very easy way to run the Add Printer Wizard for a remote, XP workstation:

Using an account that has administrative permissions on the remote workstation, enter the following command into the Start > Run menu. The command, except for the computer name, is case sensitive!

rundll32 printui.dll, PrintUIEntry /il /c \\ComputerName

Example:
rundll32 printui.dll, PrintUIEntry /il /c \\Workstation3 will run the wizard on your workstation but actually configure the printer on Workstation3.

Note that remote administration must be enabled on the remote workstation in order for this code to succeed.  Create a Windows Firewall exception if required.
