Windows: Set the Windows Time Service to Point to an External Time Provider
 A list of trustworthy time providers is at http://tf.nist.gov/service/time-servers.html.
 
Do the following at a command prompt:

• Check to see which time provider for which your computer is configured:
      net time /querysntp
   
• Change the time provider:
      net time /setsntp:<your desired provider>
   
  Example:
       net time /setsntp:time.nist.gov
