Windows: Determine the Installation Date of Windows

Run the following at a command prompt:
systeminfo | find /i "install date"

The command will return a value such as:
Original Install Date: 11/24/2009, 7:14:04 PM

You can retrieve the information for a remote computer to which you have administrative access by appending the -S parameter and the remote computer name to the systeminfo command.  For example, to determine the installation date of a remote computer called MyServer, run the following:
systeminfo -S MyServer | find /i "install date"

You can retrieve additional information about your system, including hardware, by just typing:
     systeminfo
